Explore ePlanet for more planetary health education resources!
CATA-Earth is proud to present the ‘European Platform for Planetary Health Education’ (ePlanet) project. This Erasmus+ project, also coordinated by UMC Utrecht, provides educational resources on planetary health that can easily be integrated in several educational contexts or formats.
The central element of the project is the ePlanet game, an introduction to planetary health topics. In this educational game, players are presented with a node network, depicting different planetary health challenges organized around the topics of food, air pollution and heat, infectious diseases, and cross-cutting planetary health issues.
ePlanet provides flexible, ready-to-use tools for educators:
You can access it on our Online Educational Platform – Explore the ePlanet game and microlearnings to empower students with engaging, self-directed learning experiences. You can access these here. To take the next steps, we have Challenge-Based Modules which brings interactive problem-solving on Planetary Health challenges into your classroom. You can access it here.
These are based upon the developed Competency Profile which you can access here. And finally, we have an Assessment Tool, which you can use to measure students’ knowledge, values, and practices in Planetary Health. You can request for access by contacting us (see contact details below).
All of this and more is explained in the Teacher Manual – Read this step-by-step guidance on using the above resources to enrich your curriculum. You can access it here.
